Principle of the Procedure

The ASI Color Mono II Test is based on the reaction between IM antibodies in the sample to be tested and dyed, color-enhanced horse erythrocytes. A visible agglutination takes place with horse erythrocytes when IM heterophil antibodies are present. Lack of agglutination indicates the absence of IM heterophil antibody in the test sample.
